The Apprentice

An exclusive girls boarding school decides to employ two boys as their apprentices. 3 young candidates arrive for their interviews unaware of what will happen.

The Headmistress of Haversham College for Young Ladies was reading in her office when she came across a paper about government support to employers who took on early school leavers as apprentices. The school leaving age was 15 but most young people stayed on until at least 16. I wonder she thought smiling to herself at the ides that had formed in her mind.

A few weeks later she and her deputy had agreed the plan and an advert had been placed to recruit an apprentice.

Haversham College.

Wanted a level 1 apprentice to help in the school. The role will involve helping in the classrooms, preparing rooms, assisting the groundsman and will involve both indoor and outdoor work. The post is live in with all meals provided and the successful candidate will learn new skills for future career. This post is open to recent school leavers aged 15. The post is open for boys only. A few weeks later 3 shortlisted boys were to be found sitting nervously in the grand hall of the magnificent college house building which formed the main part of the school. The Headmistress, the school staff manageress and the head of physical education were preparing to interview them and were finalising their discussion on what a successful candidate should be like. All 3 boys looked promising candidates on paper.

Miss Burgess was the young head of PE at the school and appeared in the grand hall, striding purposefully down to where the 3 boys were sat quietly waiting. They looked nervous which was good as this meant they were much likely to be pliable. All 3 boys stood up as she approached.

"Good morning boys. Welcome to Haversham College for young ladies. We've got a busy morning ahead for the interview process which I will explain in as moment. But first introductions. I am Miss Burgess and I am the head of physical education and much of the apprentice job will involve working with me. Now your turn, tell us your name where you were from and as I'm as sporty person what's your favourite sport. You first" she said pointing to the boy standing to her left

He paused and then in a strong voice spoke," I'm Ryan Griffiths from south wales near Newport and my favourite sport is rugby, like most welsh lads." She nodded and took in the obviously fit young man with broad shoulders and chest. She nodded to the next boy who was quite a bit smaller than Ryan, he spoke in as much softer voice

" hi, I'm Max Davis from Taunton in Somerset and I'm a swimmer." She nodded approvingly and turned to the third boy who was quite heavily built but tall and didn't look as if he played much sport

" I'm Lawrence fields from London. I like basketball best cos of my height'

She smiled thinking and probably because you don't have to run around much!

" good thank you boys. Sit down please. Let me run you through the plan. In a short while. I will give you a tour if the school, show you the facilities, the accommodation and also talk a little about the job. Then we shall head over to see the school nurse where you will have your medical checks as mentioned in the letter. After that we shall return here to the main building where we have an exercise for you to complete before your individual interviews. I can tell you that although we advertised for just one apprentice we will consider taking on 2 if 2 of you fit the bill. The interview will with the headmistress and myself. OK?"

The boys had no questions, so they were soon making a tour of the empty school buildings and grounds. She showed them the excellent sports facilities including the gymnasium, the indoor hearted pool and the fitness studio. " we strongly encourage all our girls to keep fit, eat healthily and look after their bodies, and we expect our staff to set a good example as well."

She led the boys over to the boarding house where the girls had small rooms of four for the younger ones and on a separate floor, twin studios for the sixth formers. On the top floor above the 6th form in an attic area there was a small living area kitted out with sofa, kitchenette and TV etc. and there was a twin bedroom and a bathroom. " This will be where the successful 1 or 2 of you will live. All your meals will be with everyone else of course but it does allow you to prepare your own snacks and drinks etc."

" right back downstairs and Let's meet nurse whose medical area is on the ground floor."

They were soon outside a door with the clear sign stating, "Nurse Simmonds" and below it a notice, "knock and do not enter until called". There was a row of chairs outside to which Miss Burgess indicated the boys should sit.

She knocked on the door and a cheery" come in" was heard. She entered and closed the door behind her.

The 3 boys immediately relaxed and initially sat there in silence until Max spoke,

" what do you think? Pretty impressive grounds."

" yeah" agreed Ryan " nice place. think it be better if there was 2 of us though, "

Max agreed. Lawrence looked a little unsure and asked, "looks great now but with all those girls we'd be outnumbered!"

The other 2 laughed, Ryan smiling said, " lots to look at" the boys giggled and then went silent as the door opened and Miss Burgess's indicated for them to come in.

Walking inside to a room with chairs and equipment such as scales, height measure, and an examining couch. To one side was a large desk behind which sat Nurse. The boys sat down, and she smiled as Miss Burgess stood at the back of the room by the window. The room was warm.

" good morning boys. I'm nurse Simmonds and I will be conducting your medical this morning. Here at Haversham College we take very seriously the good health of both our girls and our staff. This new apprentice role will involve a fair amount of physical work, so we need to ensure that you were fit for the job both physically as well as in ability terms. " she picked up 3 brown folders,

" I've read through your applications and read your medical questionnaires. To save time we shall do all 3 of you together, so it you'd like to stand up and them undress please down to your underpants. "

All 3 boys hesitated so she gently applied the pressure, " come in boys chop chop. I'm a nurse so nothing to hide. This is part of the interview so let's get on please. "

Behind the boys miss Burgess leaned back against the wall watching with interest to see how each individual boy would react. Max stood up first swiftly followed by Ryan and began to undress. Only when they had started did Lawrence follow suit albeit reluctantly.

Soon the first two boys were standing there in their underpants whilst Lawrence was still taking off his trousers. They waited until he too was stripped down and it was obvious to the 2 ladies how uncomfortable Lawrence was feeling. Miss burgess smiled to herself as she the boy would soon be even more embarrassed.

Nurse continued by handling the boys a clip board with pen and an empty form on it.

" write your names and date of birth at the top and then let's start with all these measurements. "

She took max over to the height measure and whilst miss burgess led Lawrence to the scales. Over the next few minutes they measured height & weight, chest seize waist size and took the blood pressure of the two boys. Once nurse had finished with Max he sat down and then miss burgess having also finished with Lawrence indicated for Ryan to stand up.

She measured his height and weight and then his chest and bending down to measure his waist allowed her hands to accidentally on purpose touch the front of his underpants. The boy shivered a bit in reaction but said nothing.

" now we have all the vital measurements and we can what your BMI score is, we need to see what your level of fitness is as I said this job will be fairly physical at first. Miss Burgess will in the next door room test your fitness through a step up test and whilst she is doing that I'll go through your medical history and some questions to complete on the form as well. " explained Nurse Simmonds.

She continued, " we need to know your blood pressure too and check your resting pulse before the exercise too. Let's start then, Ryan you first."

Ryan came over and sat at her desk and then she took his blood pressure and his cresting pulse over a minute and then he went next door with Miss Burgess. She shut the door and he saw that he had entered a small room which overlooked another larger room containing 4 beds. Miss Burgess explained that this is where girls who are I'll and need 24 hour bursting care come, like a mini hospital ward.

The small room had a desk and chair and a filing cabinet but little else. On the floor there was a step up piece of equipment which she explained how theory would test the fitness.

" you need to step up and down, like this (demonstrating the steps) for 3 minutes at a steady pace. Around your chest I will strap a heart monitor which takes readings. OK?"

Ryan nodded

"Now in order for you to move freely it is suggested you do this without your pants on, so if you’d like to take them off we can begin."

Ryan looked at her astonished, and she gave him a reassuring smile,

" you've of nothing I haven't seen before Ryan. I trained as a physio before becoming as teacher. So, don't be shy please."

Ryan was a confident lad and really wanted this job, so he shrugged and stepped out if his pants. Miss Burgess smiled and admired thee young man’s package which was quite large hanging neatly down over his balls.

"Good boy"

"Now I want you to step up and drown like this for 3 minutes. This will monitor your heart rate throughout" she said as she strapped the monitor around his chest. She stood close to him as she did so causing a slight twitch in his willy. Ryan gulped and then was able to begin.

Miss burgess sat down and observed the naked boy and thought he would do nicely. His personality seemed polite and pleasant and he was proving to be compliant.

The 3 minutes were up. He stopped, and she removed the monitor and noted the reading.

" very good Ryan " she said smiling, " you clearly are quite fit. Must be all that rugby. Right pants back on and then go back to Nurse's office and send the next boy in please."

Ryan gratefully and quickly put his pants on and then left the room sending in Max.

Back outside Ryan handed his clipboard to Nurse Simmonds who said he could get dressed now as the medical was over.

Lawrence was sitting there quietly waiting his turn and a few minutes later Max appeared, and Lawrence went in.

Max grinned at Ryan as he handed his clipboard to Nurse and was similarly instructed to dress. Ryan couldn't help but notice that Max was sporting a larger bulge in his pants than before. Max got dressed and sat down next Ryan and Nurse Simmonds left the room washing they should was it for Miss Burgess who would then take all 3 of them over four their interviews.

Max turned to Ryan once shed left,

" well that was different. Did you. Know er, have to..."

Ryan nodded before he finished the sentence.

Max smiled adding quietly, " I think she got a kick out of that"

Ryan agreed, " yes she was definitely looking. Not quite the interview I expected!" He laughed and then pointed to the door, " wonder how's getting on.?"

" I don't think he'd like it, he was reluctant to strip to his pants, don't think he does much sport"

" nope" replied Ryan

Inside the room, a very unhappy Lawrence was now naked, he had a small willy and he was blushing in embarrassment being a shy boy who avoided games, showers and swimming as much as possible. He felt exposed standing their naked in front of this very striking fit woman.

His mind was working overtime and he was very conscious of the stirring in his willy, he was willing it to behave.

Miss Burgess took in the shape and form of the boy and realised he was quite out of shape. She placed the strap around his chest standing close to his front as she could, her hands almost stroking his chest as she fitted the machine. This had the effect she expected and poor Lawrence was powerless to stop his willy responding and as she stepped back she observed his willy rising and growing. He instinctively put his hands to cover but she chided him,

" come now Lawrence hands by your side please. Don't worry it’s perfectly normal for a teenage boy to get an erection. Try and relax and concentrate on the step ups. Ready now off you go 3 minutes. "

She observed amused at his erect willy, quite small she noted about 4 inches bounced with each step and it wasn't long before the embarrassed boy was flushed in the face from both the exercise and the nudity. Lawrence clearly wasn't used to that much exercise and being fit was an important part of the job.

After the 3 minutes, she noted his readings removed the strap and opened the door allowing the other 2 boys to see straight in and they couldn't miss the erection on the blushing boy.

She told him to get dressed and Max turned to Ryan and smiled raising his eyebrows. Ryan suppressed a giggle! " poor lad, " he thought, " I'd have rather died than get a hard on like that"

He also couldn't help but think how small the boy’s willy was which must have made it worse.

Lawrence was now dressed, and Miss Burgess led them back across to the main hall where drinks and biscuits were ready for them.

She turned to them indicating for them to help themselves before adding, " I'll be back in a few minutes I will just go and see if the headmistress is ready."

There was silence for a short while before Max spoke

" well that was different! "

Ryan agreed, " you're telling me, where did it say on the letter we'd have to get naked!"

Max laughed, " yeah I know, though I had a medical for my swim team and the doctor did that and I had to get naked, but he was a male, so wasn't as bad."

Lawrence just sat there in an embarrassed silence. Miss Burgess returned and announced that Lawrence would be the first to be interviewed as he had the longest journey home so could get off straight after.

They left leaving Max and Ryan drinking their tea.

Max who clearly was quite talkative and not shy started laughing,

" did you see his hard on? He looked so embarrassed!"

" yeah God how awful. Wonder if he was hard the whole time he was doing the step ups.?"

" boing boing" giggled Max and they both started laughing.

The interviews soon followed and covered the boy’s skills, academic progress to date, why they wanted the job and their aptitude to hard work, being part of a team, and dealing with a mix of routine sometimes boring work as well as the more interesting stuff. It was noted that both Max and Ryan were keen on sport, keen to be outdoors, but weren't really academic though the apprenticeship would include some learning as that would be required by the govt scheme. This would be delivered by the school staff.

Ryan was interviewed first and asked to wait for Max, so they could be taken back to the railway station together.

Both were pleased with their interviews and unbeknown to them the head and her team were impressed with both boys that they agreed that two would be better than one and also provide company rather than have a single boy on site by himself.

Miss Haversham spoke to her colleagues, the school manageress, Miss Burgess and Nurse Simmonds as they had a drink in her office

"So, we are all agreed. Well offer both Griffiths and Davis the job to start in September. Susanna (Miss Burgess) will line manage the boys and their schedule and requests for use of them will go through her. They will be assigned to the two fifth firm classes as assistants in the mornings and work with Mr. Taylor (the groundsman) in the afternoons and with your PE team. They will do the physical education certificate as their academic programme and depending in their summer exam results may have to do Maths and English retakes, but their school reports show they should just about pass.

She paused and smiled, " I think we can all agree this will be interesting experiment bringing two 15 year old boys into our female community especially as they will be living in. We have all subscribed here to giving our girls confidence, leadership and the self belief of female dominance. This will be an ideal opportunity to test that. Both boys seem compliant and I'm sure will both be hard working, but also good subjects for testing our teaching methods. By placing them in service roles with our eldest girl’s classes will emphasise this. Both Mrs. Grant and Miss Jacobs have been briefed by me and are enthusiastic about this. Can I leave it to you Susanna to tell the boys? It’s time for lunch, let's go down to the main hall, invite the boys to join us before taking them back to the station and I think”, she beamed a broad smile to the ladies, " we can start as we mean to go on and get the boys to help serve." They all laughed. Miss Burgess stepped out to speak to the boys and the headmistress turned to a small table in the corner,

"a glass of Sherry ladies before lunch? And as toast to our two new boys, may they learn the art of serving the fairer sex!"
