As Rebecca Pulaski left the large picnicking group of adults and children and hurried down Lake Tallahatchie, pulling a reluctant Paul Beaufort with her to where the two girls, only a couple of years younger than her were playing about naked in public she heard a commotion erupt from amongst the group she had just left. “No … No way dad! You can’t be serious exclaimed a boys panicked voice, causing Rebecca to give a cursory glance over her shoulder, to see what was happening. She let out a smirk and giggle but she was on a mission and didn’t stop!

When Rebecca and the naked Paul arrived where the naked Lilli Grace and Lisa Beaufort were reluctantly playing with the two younger children who both looked to be aged about four, Paul’s Grandparents Amelia and Colin Beaufort were chatting with the group of adults that had accompanied Lilli to the lake. They stopped and introduced their grandson and Rebecca to the assembled group.

Amongst the group the eldest lady present introduced herself as Mrs. Gina Grace, the paternal grandmother of Lilli. Due to Paul being naked, discussion immediately turned to how Grandma Grace and the Beaufort grandparents considered that children, both boys and girls didn’t need all the current modern day hang ups that currently seemed to prevail in society about modesty. Grandma Beaufort mentioned to the group of adults how they didn’t allow any of their children, girls or boys to have any excess modesty until they were fifteen and well into high school.

Rebecca was shocked at the ideas expressed in this conversation. She was personally appalled that Lilli and Lisa, only a couple of years younger than her should be seen naked like this in public, as such female nudity was so totally against all the upbringing that Rebecca had ever received from her parents.

This caused Rebecca to comment to Grandma Grace, “My mumma says girls need to be modest at all times, but that it’s acceptable for boys to be seen naked at appropriate times.”

“Is that so?” Grandma Grace responded to Rebecca. “Well, that may be the rule in your family, but I firmly believe as do Mr and Mrs Beaufort in equality. Girls just like boys have no need for excessive modesty until they are well into their teenage years!”

“My mumma often has my older brother Wayne naked but never myself or my sisters”. stayed Rebecca.

Rebecca blushed when Grandma Beaufort reminded her that earlier today, her younger sister Sandra had been punished naked in public.

“Here, here!” called out one of the male adults in his early thirties who was in attendance, causing Grandpa Beaufort to also agree, stating, “Damned good idea as far as I am concerned. About time the kids of today learnt that life does not centre around them!”

“It is not right, as far as I am concerned, that you are still in your swimsuit whilst Lisa and Lilli are naked!” asserted Grandma Grace as she smiled warmly at Rebecca. “You should get naked child, so you don’t make these two naked girls feel uncomfortable.”

Rebecca looked at Grandma Grace in shock. “I can’t do that, mumma would be appalled!” Despite what happened earlier with her sister Sandra, Rebecca was absolutely sure that her mother would be totally opposed to the two preteen naked girls being seen naked like they were in public, let alone herself being seen naked.

“Of course you can sweetie. Lisa and Lilli are naked and you don’t look much older than they do. Young girls like yourself are allowed to be naked in public just like boys. As I said, I don’t hold with this modern idea that girls need to maintain modesty at all times and boys don’t! In reality it’s boys who have more to cover up than girls, so if it is alright for boys to be seen naked then it’s also alright for girls.

“Yes, boys and girls should be treated equally.” supposed Grandma Beaufort.

“But Mam,” responded a shocked and now nervous Rebecca, “It’s proven that teen girls are more mature than boys of the same age. Girls mature much faster and earlier than boys, that’s why they need modesty and boys don’t. It would be very wrong for me at my age to be naked in front of boys or girls, but it doesn’t matter if a boy is naked in front of girls or other boys. A boy is in a very different situation than a girl! Boys are too immature to feel the kind of shame a naked girl would feel if she was naked in a place that’s not private, therefore a girls' modesty and privacy needs to be protected. If a girl had to undress for some special or exceptional reason, she should have to do it in private.”

Grandma Grace responded, “Thats a lot of nonsense words sweetie, the girls have been naked here for some time in front of people and no one at the lake seems to have thought twice about it.”

“But surely Mam, you must agree that girls are better behaved and much more mature and than boys, even older boys? That’s the reason why girls should be in charge and not treated the same as boys. I always treat boys kindly, but I don’t let there be any doubt that I am in charge and the boy is not!” said Rebecca.

Grandpa Beaufort responded to Rebecca before Grandma Grace could reply, “Girls are often smarter at not getting caught misbehaving but they are not better behaved as such.”

“Well my Mumma says allowing boys too much privacy and modesty can have detrimental effects, like, disrespectful behaviour, increasing rebellion, lower school grades and causing juvenile delinquency, but none of those things apply to girls.”

“Of course they apply to girls as well as boys, I can’t see any reason why equal treatment should not apply to girls as well as boys. Therefore I want you to join Lilli and Lisa naked. It is unfair that you are dressed in your swimsuit and the other two girls around your age are both bare naked.” stated Grandma Grace.

“But Mam, as I just said, girls must maintain a high level of modesty, my Mumma would never allow me to be seen naked!” a horrified Rebecca argued.

“Nonsense!” responded Grandma Beaufort. “I spoke earlier with your mother when she stripped your younger sister naked. I feel sure that she would see it as only fair to the other five naked children that you join them naked and help the older ones look after and play with the two little ones.”

“There you go Rebecca, it appears that your mother wouldn’t object like you have been claiming, so please stop making excuses and get undressed. I am sure you will soon get used to it and have fun with the other children!” encouraged Grandma Grace.

“The days from my younger years when young boys and girls, mostly under twelve but sometimes older could run around nude and free of modesty at lakes, rivers, beaches, waterholes, local parks and playgrounds are sadly missed by me!” lamented Grandpa Beaufort. “I don’t believe in any of this girls are superior and need more modesty stuff that seems to prevail in society these days!”

“Yeah Rebecca, give it a try and join me naked!” enthused Paul, hoping to finally have a chance to see his new girlfriend naked.

Rebecca, blushing profusely at Grandma Graces request and Paul’s comment, nervously replied, “But Mam, I have never been seen naked by a boy, not even by my brother. I have not even seen naked by any other girls except my mumma and my sisters and that was only when I was much younger!”

“Well sweetie, the time to correct that is right here and now, the other two older girls are already naked as well as your boyfriend.” asserted Grandma Grace.

“Please Mam ..… I don’t want to get naked, not here and now? Rebecca begged in panic and disbelief of what she was hearing.

“Yes, right here now! Stop just standing there, you need to remove your swimsuit like the other children. Stop wasting my time” stated Grandma Grace.

As her panic mounted, Rebecca realised that her life had just taken a major turn for the worse and that all the adults present were very serious about equality and girls being naked as well as boys.

“But everyone will see me naked! Rebecca exclaimed, still desperate to avoid being made to remove her swimsuit!

“Yes they will!” Grandma Grace strongly affirmed. “Nothing wrong with that, so get a move on undressing or I will have to strip you naked myself.”

“Well miss!” declared the male adult in his early thirties from the crowd in attendance. “With your excessive modesty and reluctance, you have given us all a great example of why children need to be less modest and embrace their nudity and be seen as God created them and not covered by clothing!”

Rebecca looked over at Paul hoping for some sign of sympathy, whilst blushing profusely at the last comments. She couldn’t help noticing that Paul’s eyes were roaming her navy blue swimsuit clad body with wide eyed anticipation. They appeared to be undressing her and imagining her breasts exposed and what lay in her most private area between her legs. Rebecca found no sympathy with Paul and realised her situation was becoming hopeless, she had become totally ensnared in this embarrassing situation due to her inquisitiveness about the two naked tween girls!

When Lilli finally extricated the strap from Rebecca’s arm, Grandma Grace grabbed the front of the still moist navy blue swimsuit and pulled it out away from Rebecca’s chest and then down to her waist, leaving her upper body totally nude and exposed as Lilli and Grandpa Beaufort held the girl’s arms out of the way, preventing her from covering up.

On the way back to the Pulaski BBQ, Paul and Rebecca passed the large group that includes Debbie Foster, Todd Austin and Wayne Ridell from their grade. They quickly noticed that a number of the boys in the group had been stripped by their parents after Rebecca’s earlier suggestions, including Todd Austin who revealed that he had started to develop but was no where along the journey of puberty as Wayne Ridell, who was well into puberty and almost as developed as Wayne Pulaski, causing Paul to muse to Rebecca “What is it with Wayne’s, that they are all so well developed!”
