We rejoin the Miller family; Jenny and Joey Smith are staying with their cousins the Miller’s. “Oh girls, if we’re going to the cabin for the day, I’ll be require some help gathering supplies for the next two days and packing the car up,”

“Yes Mom, we can help you,” Megan said

“I’ll be happy to help to Auntie, by the way supper was delicious, Thanks for making it”

“Oh Jenny, Thanks for the compliment it was an easy recipe tonight, Have you been helping your mother with the cooking?”

“Yes, my mom has me doing all the chopping and mixing, I love baking too”

“What do you bake?”

“Cakes and cookies mostly sometimes pie” Jenny said

“What’s your favorite pie to make?”

“Apple pie is the easiest to make, cherry and peach pie are so intensive to make with the lattice woven tops”

“Apple Pie? Jenny now your making me hungry for it,” Uncle Ron said

“Ronald, if we are going to Patricia Henderson’s we don’t have time to bake a pie.” Sue

“What are we going to have for dessert tonight?” Mark asked

“I made some brownies this morning and that reminds me, Mark I need you to take a plate of brownies to the McCallister’s after supper”

“What for mom?” Mark asked

“Kids, now that you’re all done with dinner, I think the four of you can go over the McCallister’s and bring the brownies as a group”

“Yes, Mom that’s a great idea” Megan said

“But I have to clear the table?” Mark said as he stood up.

“Thanks Dad,”

“Mark and Joey I need you two to brush your teeth first before you go, you both can use the kitchen bathroom while the girls use the upstairs bathroom,” Aunt Sue told the kids

Mark got up and tapped Joey on the arm “let’s go” motioning to go to the kitchen bathroom

“But my tooth brush is upstairs?” Joey asked

“Joey Honey, there’s a new one in the drawer to the right of the sink” Aunt Sue said

“Okay, but what about my pants and shoes” Joey raised concern about his current state of dress

“See you at 7AM, Good night” Ron opened the door and guided his wife out and Sue held the hand of the boys and motioned the two naked girls to enter the last bit of twilight of the outside world, it was taking a moment for their eyes to adjust to the lack of light outside.
