Description :
Evan dearly loves his girlfriend, Kaitlyn, but sometimes she takes
advantage of his good nature. One day, Kaitlyn is being just a little
too much of a brat with Evan and their friend Terry, and at the urging
of Kaitlyn's mom, the boys take matters, and Kaitlyn, into their own
hands ...
Cast of Characters
Kaitlyn (16)
Evan, Kaitlyn's boyfriend (16)
Terry, Kaitlyn and Evan's close friend (17)
Mrs. Parsons, Kaitlyn's mother
"Evan, if my grandparents ask me why you're not at their anniversary
dinner, what am I supposed to tell them? I don't like making excuses
for you!"
"Kaitlyn, all I'm saying is that if you had told
me your grandparents were having a special dinner for their
anniversary, I would have kept that date free on my calendar."
"I have to tell
you that my grandparents are celebrating their anniversary? What were
you expecting them to do, spend the night watching television?"
Evan sighed as he buried his face in his hand. His friend, Terry,
sitting on the other side of the table, gave him a sympathetic look.
It was an all-too-familiar scene in the living room of the Parsons
house. Kaitlyn was walking agitatedly around the room while her
boyfriend, Evan, was apologizing for yet another supposed slight he had
committed against her, against their relationship, and against love
itself.
"Kaitlyn." Evan got up from the dining table and walked over to his girlfriend.
"I'm sorry, I really am. I've been busy with school and the theater
program this year, and I just forgot that your grandparents'
anniversary was this month."
"Look, Kaitlyn," said Terry, "I'm sure that Evan didn't mean to – "
"You stay out of this, Terry," said Kaitlyn sharply. "I haven't forgotten that you left me stranded at the mall the other day."
"Kaitlyn, that wasn't my fault!" protested Terry. "My mom's car broke
down, and I had to drive her to her doctor's appointment."
"So I had to wait for hours in the freezing cold yesterday for you to get around to picking me up," said Kaitlyn heatedly.
"It wasn't hours, Kaitlyn, it was thirty-five minutes. And it was only forty degrees yesterday."
"Oh, how silly of me!" retorted Kaitlyn. "I guess I should thank you for only leaving me stranded for thirty-five minutes in the middle of nowhere while I was – "
"Kaitlyn!" Evan broke in.
He gave a pleading look to Terry, who had already opened his mouth,
ready to argue further. Terry slowly closed his mouth, sighing in
frustration.
"Look," Evan turned back to his fuming girlfriend. "Kaitlyn, I ... I will go to your grandparents' anniversary dinner."
"What?" exclaimed Terry. "Evan, what about the theater recital?"
"I'll have to skip it," said Evan.
"Are you crazy?" demanded Terry. "Your company has been preparing for
this for weeks – months, even! Everybody is depending on you to be
there!"
"Oh, forgive me!" said Kaitlyn crossly. "Here, I thought I was depending on my own boyfriend, but apparently, everybody is more important than I am!"
"Kaitlyn," said Evan, holding up his hands. "Please, it isn't – "
Evan never got to finish his sentence, because the entire argument was interrupted by the front door slamming shut.
"And what, pray tell, may I ask, is going on here?" came a weary-sounding female voice.
"Hello, Mrs. Parsons," said Evan, as Kaitlyn's mother, her arms loaded
down with grocery bags, walked into the living room. "Kaitlyn and I
were just having a little ... uh, disagreement ..."
"Another fight?" asked Mrs. Parsons with a heavy sigh. "What is this one about?"
"Well, I – "
"Evan," interrupted Kaitlyn, clearing her throat exaggeratedly, as she motioned with her arm toward her mother.
Evan's eyes widened.
"Oh, right, of course," Evan rushed over to the tired-looking woman. "I
am so sorry, Mrs. Parsons, let me take those bags for you."
"It's okay, Evan," said Mrs. Parsons, as Evan hurriedly took the grocery bags. "Really, I was fine."
"I'll help, too." Terry got up from the table and came over.
"Thank you, boys," said Mrs. Parsons. "Um, there are some bags in my car."
"I'll get them," said Terry.
As Terry headed for the door, Evan carried the bags into the kitchen.
"You know, Kaitlyn, you could help," said Mrs. Parsons, looking pointedly at her daughter.
"The boys can take care of it," said Kaitlyn dismissively. She folded
her arms in front of her chest and wandered toward the window, a
somewhat impatient look on her face.
Mrs. Parsons sighed and walked into the kitchen.
Close to twenty minutes later, Evan and Terry returned to the living room, to find Kaitlyn waiting restlessly at the table.
"Certainly took you long enough," said Kaitlyn in irritation.
"We were helping your mother put away the groceries," said Terry. "Of
course, if there had been four people doing it instead of three – "
"Uh, never mind that," said Evan hastily. "Now, Kaitlyn, I think that – "
"Evan, you can't skip out on the recital," Terry broke in urgently.
"Could somebody please tell me what this is about?" asked Mrs. Parsons, walking into the living room.
"It is about the fact that Evan can't be bothered to attend a very important event in his girlfriend's family," said Kaitlyn.
Mrs. Parsons frowned.
"Are you talking about your grandparents' anniversary dinner?" she asked. "Evan, you're not coming? Why not?"
"I am
coming," said Evan anxiously, ignoring Terry's groan. "It's just that ...
I was supposed to be in a theater recital that night. I just didn't
know that Kaitlyn's grandparents were having their anniversary dinner
on the same night."
"You didn't know?" Mrs. Parsons was surprised.
She turned to her daughter.
"Kaitlyn, I gave you an invitation to the anniversary dinner, that I made out for Evan, weeks ago. Didn't you give it to him?"
"Oh, great, Mom." Kaitlyn rolled her eyes. "You're blaming this on me?
So I can't expect my own boyfriend to keep up on important things going
on in my own family?"
"Kaitlyn," said Mrs. Parson in
exasperation, "You can't expect Evan to always know everything that's
happening, without even telling him ..."
Her voice trailed off. She covered her face with her hands, letting out a frustrated sigh.
"Look, Kaitlyn, Mrs. Parsons, it's okay," said Evan. "Like I said, I'll
be at the dinner. I just have to cancel on the theater recital."
"Evan, you can't do that!" protested Terry. "Everybody in your company is counting on you!"
"I'll just have my understudy, Harold, take over for me," said Evan.
"Harold doesn't have your experience," said Terry. "It's going to hurt
the entire company if you do this. And anyway, what about you, Evan?
"What about me?" demanded Kaitlyn. "This dinner is important to me!"
"This recital is important to Evan!" said Terry. "Evan, you and your
company worked really hard to get this recital. And that big shot
production executive is going to be there. Think about what it took for
you to make that happen. This is a huge opportunity for you, Evan! You
can't just throw it away!"
"So you'd rather throw me away instead, I suppose," said Kaitlyn angrily.
"Kaitlyn," said Mrs. Parson, shaking her head reproachfully.
"It's all right, Mrs. Parsons," said Evan. He closed his eyes for a
moment, biting his lip, and then said, "I'll go to the anniversary
dinner."
"No," said Mrs. Parsons. "Absolutely not."
"Kaitlyn is right," said Evan. "It's important for me to go to my girlfriend's family events."
"Evan, my parents would never agree to this," said Mrs. Parsons. "I
promise you, if they were here right now, my parents would be telling
you to go to your theater recital instead of their anniversary dinner.
They would never want you to give up something so important to you for
their sake. If you don't believe me, we can call my parents up right
now and ask them. They would tell you the same as I am, believe me."
"Well," said Evan hesitantly, "if that's really how they would feel ..."
"So you're really going to do it?" exclaimed Kaitlyn. "You're just going to walk out on me?"
"But, Kaitlyn," said Evan, "if your grandparents would be okay with it – "
"And what about me?" demanded Kaitlyn. "I'll just have to sit alone
through the dinner, with people asking me where my boyfriend is? I'm
going to be the laughingstock, with people snickering about how my
boyfriend left me high and dry?"
"Wait, is that what this is
about?" asked Evan in disbelief. "I thought you were upset because I
was missing a special day for your grandparents. But this is really
about what people are going to say and think about you?"
"Well, maybe I wouldn't have to spend so much time worrying about
myself if I had a boyfriend who cared enough to do it!" retorted
Kaitlyn.
"Kaitlyn!" said Mrs. Parsons.
"Kaitlyn, that isn't fair," said Evan, his voice breaking. "I have been doing my best – "
"Well, your best stinks!" snapped Kaitlyn.
"Kaitlyn – "
"You know, Evan, you are damn lucky that I am willing to put up with you," said Kaitlyn fiercely, "because sure as hell no other girl ever will!"
Evan's eyes widened. He was too stunned to speak.
"Kaitlyn ... " Terry's voice was barely above a whisper.
Evan slowly turned away. He was visibly shaking.
Mrs. Parsons had had enough.
"Evan," she said resolutely, walking over to him and taking a firm grip
of his arm. "You listen to me, and you listen good ... The next time that
my daughter speaks to you like that, I want you to take her over your
knee and give her a good spanking!"
"What?!" shrieked Kaitlyn.
"Mrs. Parsons?" Evan looked shocked. Terry was speechless.
"You heard me," said Mrs. Parsons.
Terry felt sure that Mrs. Parsons couldn't be serious. Surely, she only
meant that Evan should stand up for himself, that's all ...
Evan, however, looking into Mrs. Parson's fire-filled eyes, knew that she meant every word of what she said.
"Mrs. Parsons," he said carefully, "I don't really think that's ..."
Kaitlyn quickly recovered. She folded her arms across her chest and let out a derisive laugh.
"There, you see, Mom?" she said smugly. "You're wasting your time. Evan could never do that. He doesn't have the balls!"
Mrs. Parsons shot her daughter a glare, and then looked back at Evan.
"It's up to you, Evan," she said. "But if you really care about Kaitlyn, and about yourself ..."
Evan hesitated.
"Kaitlyn, look," he said, turning to his girlfriend, "I made a
commitment to the theater company. You can't expect me to just drop
everything – "
"Of course not," said Kaitlyn. "I can't expect anything of you, can I?"
"Kaitlyn, I have gone out of my way to be there for you," said Evan.
"In case you've forgotten, this past summer, I was supposed to join my
company on a theater tour that could have been really big for my
career, and I gave it up because you wanted me to stay in town with
you!"
"And?" demanded Kaitlyn. "Do you expect a medal for that? People are supposed to make sacrifices for their relationships!"
"What sacrifices have you made for your relationship lately, Kaitlyn?" inquired Terry.
Kaitlyn's mouth opened at once ... but nothing came out. After a long moment, she closed her mouth and shook her head.
"Why do I even bother trying to talk to you people?" she said in
disgust, glaring at Terry first, and then Evan. "You'll never get it."
Terry snorted, and opened his mouth, presumably to make another cutting remark, when Evan told him, "Terry, enough!"
He turned back to Kaitlyn.
"Kaitlyn," said Evan with a heavy sigh. "I love you, but I can't keep – "
"Love?" repeated Kaitlyn with a mocking laugh. "I'm not sure you even
understand what means. Maybe that's the problem. I need to find a
boyfriend who really understands how to love me!"
There was
a long silence as Evan simply stared at Kaitlyn. Mrs. Parsons folded
her hands in front of her and gave Evan an expectant look.
"All right, Kaitlyn," said Evan finally, in a soft but firm voice. "I think that's enough."
"What are you doing?" said Kaitlyn, as Evan took hold of her arm.
"Terry, bring that chair over here," Evan instructed.
For a moment, Terry gaped at his friend. But then, realizing Evan was
serious, Terry picked up a chair and brought it to the center of the
living room floor.
"Kaitlyn," said Evan softly, sitting down in the chair.
"Wh-What are you doing?" asked Kaitlyn anxiously.
"I'm sorry, Kaitlyn, but I really think you need this."
"Hey!" exclaimed Kaitlyn as Evan pulled her face-down across his knees, her jeans-covered rump landing squarely in his lap.
"I'm sorry, Kaitlyn," said Evan again.
"Evan what are you ... " Kaitlyn's voice trailed off as she felt Evan's
hand rest firmly on her backside. "Oh, no ... Oh, hell, no, Evan, don't you dare!"
"You've needed this for a long time," said Evan. He took hold of
Kaitlyn's slim wrists and pinned them tightly behind her back.
"Evan, this is crazy!" Kaitlyn struggled futilely against Evan's grip. "Evan, let me – OW!"
Kaitlyn turned to stare, wide-eyed and open-mouthed at her boyfriend,
unable to believe that he had really just smacked her butt ... or how
much it had hurt. She wanted to rub away the sting that the
blow had left in her bottom, but her hands were still firmly pinned
behind her back.
"Evan, no," whined Kaitlyn, as she watched him raise his hand again.
A second later, Evan brought his hand down on Kaitlyn's behind again, to another cry of pain. And then another ... and another ...
SMACK!
"OW!"
SMACK!
"OW! Evan – "
SMACK!
"Evan, you stop this right now!"
SMACK!
"OW! Evan, that hurts!"
SMACK!
"Evan, come on, that's enough!"
SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!
Soon, Kaitlyn was wailing and sobbing, struggling uselessly as Evan
rained down blow after blow on her behind. As he spanked her, Evan
began lecturing her.
"I love you, Kaitlyn" – SMACK! SMACK!
SMACK! – "but I will not" – SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! – "let you treat me" –
SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! – "or anybody else" – SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! – "like
this anymore" – SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! – "Do you understand?" – SMACK!
SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!
Mrs. Parsons had her arms
folded, smiling with satisfaction as she watched the spanking. Next to
her, Terry was simply gaping in wonder, trying to believe that he was
really seeing this.
SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!
"Evan,
please!" sobbed Kaitlyn as Evan struck a particularly hard blow on her
rear. "Please" – SMACK! – "Ow! ... Please stop this right now!" –SMACK! –
"Evan, you're hurting me ..."
SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!
"This is hurting me, too," said Evan softly, biting his lip as he tried
to blink back the tears forming in his eyes. But he continued spanking
his girlfriend, not letting up for a second. "You have no idea, Kaitlyn
... I love you so much, and I hate to ... But you need this ..."
SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!
"Evan, you can't do this to me!" cried Kaitlyn, wincing now at each
wave of pain sent through her already burning bottom. "I am not a
child! I'm sixteen!"
SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!
"What you are is sixteen going on five,
Kaitlyn," said Evan sternly, "and I have had enough of it. If you
insist on behaving like a child, you will be treated like one."
SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!
After what seemed like hours to Kaitlyn – but in reality was just a
matter of minutes – Evan finally stopped. Kaitlyn let out a sigh of
relief as Evan let her get to her feet.
"Are we finished?" asked Kaitlyn in a small voice, wiping the tears from her face as she looked at her boyfriend.
"No," said Evan. "Kaitlyn, I am going to make sure that you never treat
me, or Terry, or your mother, or anybody else, the way you've treated
us today."
He took a deep breath.
"Kaitlyn," he said, "take your pants down."
Kaitlyn froze, unable to believe what she'd just heard.
"Y-You can't mean that," she whispered in horror. "Evan – "
"I can mean it, and I do," said Evan.
"Evan, please ... I don't want to be spanked again."
"This isn't about what you want, Kaitlyn. This is about what you need. And you need this."
"But ... Can't we do it over my jeans again, then? You can't spank me over my panties!"
"I'm not going to spank you over your panties."
"You're not?" For a moment, Kaitlyn saw a glimmer of hope.
"No ... You're going to get this one on the bare."
Kaitlyn's jaw dropped.
"N-No," she stammered, "Evan, you can't ... Please, not ... Evan, if you love me, you won't do this."
"Kaitlyn," said Evan, shaking his head in exasperation. "See, you're
still doing it. You're still trying to get me to do what you want by
telling me that if I don't, then it means I don't love you. You have
been doing this for ... I don't know how long. You guilt and manipulate
me, just like you tried to guilt and manipulate me into going to your
grandparents' dinner. Well, I won't let you do this to me anymore,
Kaitlyn."
Evan gently framed Kaitlyn's tear-streaked face in his hands, brushing her light golden-brown hair out of her eyes.
"I love you, Kaitlyn," he said softly. "I love you more than I think you know ... and I am going to do this because I love you. I know that you can be a better person than you've been acting like. I know that you are a better person than that, and I'm going to help bring that better person back."
Kaitlyn bit her lip and lowered her eyes, sobbing softly.
"Now, take your pants down, Kaitlyn ... Please don't make me do it for you."
Kaitlyn looked at Evan for a moment, still crying, and then slowly unzipped her jeans.
"Uh, maybe I should go," said Terry, starting for the door.
"No, Terry, you stay," said Evan. "Kaitlyn treated you badly, too. You should be a part of this."
Kaitlyn continued softly crying as she began to push down her jeans.
They were very tight on her, and the spanking had left her feeling a
bit weaker than usual, but with some effort she managed to slide the
snug material down her legs.
"Good," said Evan.
Kaitlyn tossed her jeans aside. She was already blushing intensely to
be standing before Evan, Terry, and her mother in her pink panties. And
she knew it was about to get much, much worse.
"Evan, please, don't make me do this," said Kaitlyn desperately.
"Take off your panties, Kaitlyn," said Evan resolutely.
Kaitlyn reluctantly slipped her thumbs into panties and, after taking a
deep breath, slid them down and off her legs. Evan tried his best not
to embarrass Kaitlyn any more than she had to be, but Terry couldn’t
help staring at Kaitlyn's slender, beautiful legs, not to mention the
neatly trimmed golden-brown curls between them.
"Turn around, Kaitlyn," said Evan.
Kaitlyn wanted to argue, but knew it would be useless. She slowly
turned around, revealing her freshly spanked bottom, which was a shade
of red that matched her face. Even with that, the boys could not help
admiring how lovely Kaitlyn's tight, shapely rear was.
"Okay, Kaitlyn, it's time," said Evan, sitting back down and gently taking his girlfriend by the arm.
"All right," said Kaitlyn softly.
"But I'll make this one quicker and lighter than the first one," promised Evan, as he guided Kaitlyn back over his lap.
Soon, Kaitlyn was once again sobbing as Evan smacked her now bare rump.
True to his word, Evan did not spank her as hard or as long this time,
but with her bottom already sore from the first spanking and now with
nothing at all to cushion the blows, each smack still made Kaitlyn's
body shudder with pain.
By the end of Kaitlyn's ordeal, Evan
no longer had to hold her hands behind her back. She was not struggling
or fighting anymore. Kaitlyn simply lay limply over Evan's lap, softly
crying. She scarcely seemed to even notice when he stopped spanking
her.
"Uh, I think Kaitlyn has had enough," said Evan.
"No," whispered Kaitlyn.
"No?" repeated Evan in surprise. "What do you mean, Kaitlyn?"
"I was mean to Terry," said Kaitlyn softly, wiping the tears from her eyes. "He should spank me, too."
Evan and Terry both looked stunned. Mrs. Parsons, however, smiled, very proud of her daughter.
"I ... I don't think that's really necessary," said Terry hesitantly. "I mean, Kaitlyn wasn't that bad to me ..."
"Terry, please," said Kaitlyn. "I want to make this right."
Terry hesitated, and then slowly made his way over to Evan and Kaitlyn.
"I don't know about this," he said.
"Maybe just a few smacks," Evan suggested. "Kaitlyn wants to make up for how she treated you."
"Okay," said Terry. "I'll try to make them light."
Terry reached down and gave Kaitlyn three smacks on her bare backside.
He tried his best to make them light, but as red and as sore as her
rump was, Kaitlyn still shook with pain with each blow.
"All right, I think that's enough," said Evan, as Terry nodded.
Evan gently helped the still crying Kaitlyn to her feet. He picked up
her panties and jeans and started to hand them back to her.
"Wait, Evan, not just yet," said Mrs. Parsons. She took the panties and
jeans from Evan and set them down on the table. "Boys, take Kaitlyn
over to the sofa, and have her lie down, face down."
Mrs.
Parsons left the living room, as the boys followed her instructions. A
minute later, she returned and handed a jar to Evan.
"It's lotion," she explained. "Evan, rub it, very gently, on Kaitlyn's bottom. Terry, hold Kaitlyn's hand."
Kaitlyn was lying, face down, on the sofa, still sobbing. With Mrs.
Parson's guidance, Evan rubbed the lotion soothingly over Kaitlyn's
red, sore posterior, while Terry held Kaitlyn's hand and gently
massaged her back and shoulders. Soon, Kaitlyn's sobs subsided.
"That's good, boys," said Mrs. Parsons approvingly. "Always remember
that when you spank a girl, the aftercare is important. You have to
make sure that she knows how loved she is."
After a while,
Kaitlyn got up from the sofa. Evan sat down, and took Kaitlyn onto his
lap, wrapping his arms around her. She cried softly into his shoulder,
as he hugged her and gently kissed her.
"Kaitlyn," said Evan
softly, "I love you ... I love you so much. I don't ever want to hurt
you, and I don't want you to hurt me ... You hurt me today, Kaitlyn."
"I know, and I'm sorry," whispered Kaitlyn. "I didn't mean those awful
things I said to you. I don't know why I said them. I'm so sorry ...
You've been a wonderful boyfriend, and I've been so horrible to you. I
don't deserve you."
"No, it's not like that," said Evan,
holding her tightly. "You're a good person, Kaitlyn, and you've been an
incredible girlfriend, you really have."
"I love you," said Kaitlyn. "Evan, do you know that I love you?"
"I know."
"Do you really know?"
"I know, Kaitlyn, I know."
Kaitlyn was silent. Evan ran his hand gently through her hair.
"Kaitlyn," he said quietly. "I know that you love me. No matter what
you've ever said, or done, I've always known. If I ever doubt it, all I
have to do is think about one day ... It was one evening, in late
October, three years ago ... You and I had been dating for a few months
by then ... That day was the anniversary of your father's death, and you
asked me to come with you, to visit his grave."
"You remember?" Kaitlyn looked up.
"Of course. We went to the cemetery, and you laid a flower on your
father's grave. You said that you had done it every year on the day
that your father died ... but up until then, you had always done it
alone. You never let anyone come with you. Not your friends, not your
family, not even Terry or your mom. You always went alone. You said
that you didn't understand why, but you always felt like you had to do
it by yourself.
But that day, the first anniversary of your
father's death since we started dating, you asked me to come with you.
You said you didn't understand why, but it felt right to you for me to
be there. And when we left the cemetery, you hugged me, and you cried,
and you told me that you were happy now, because you knew that you no
longer had to do it alone."
Kaitlyn rested her head on Evan's shoulder. She was crying again, but they were tears of a different kind.
"I knew then," said Evan. "And every day since, if I ever doubted that
you loved me, all I had to do was think about that day, and all my
doubts were gone."
"Wow," murmured Terry after a moment.
"My goodness." Mrs. Parsons covered her mouth with her hand, and then
wiped a tear from her eye before resting her hand over her heart.
"Evan, you have made me so happy," said Kaitlyn softly.
"And so have you," said Evan.
"I haven't been a very good girlfriend lately," said Kaitlyn sadly.
"And I haven't been a very good friend. I'm sorry, Evan, Terry ... I'll
try to be better. I'll do my best to be the girlfriend and friend you
deserve."
"You've always been a good friend, Kaitlyn," said Terry.
"I couldn't ask for a better girlfriend than you, Kaitlyn," said Evan.
"Evan, Terry, listen to me," said Mrs. Parsons. "I'm actually very glad
that this happened. Kaitlyn's father is no longer with us, and I have
done my best to take care of her, but I can't always be around.
Besides, what my daughter really needs, what every girl needs, is a boy
to look after her, to love her, to protect her, and care for her.
Kaitlyn never had a brother to fill that role, which makes it all the
more important for her boyfriend, and her friend, to fill that void in
her life.
Evan, it is your responsibility, as Kaitlyn's
boyfriend, to take care of her, and that means to discipline her when
she needs it."
Evan looked up at Mrs. Parsons.
"You want me to keep spanking her?" he asked in surprise.
"If you feel that's what she needs, yes. As her boyfriend, it is your
role to guide her, and help her grow into the best person she can be.
And that means correcting her when she needs to be."
"I understand, Mrs. Parsons. I guess I haven't been a very good boyfriend, at least in that way. I'll try to do better."
"I'm sure you will, Evan. You take good care of my daughter. And you, Kaitlyn, you mind your boyfriend from now on."
"Yes, Mom." Kaitlyn sniffled, as Evan hugged her tighter.
"Terry, Kaitlyn needs all of the love and protection, and discipline,
that she can get. As Kaitlyn's closest friend next to Evan, you should
help to provide that. So, Kaitlyn, you mind Terry from now on, too. Do
you both understand?"
"Yes, ma'am," said Terry, as Kaitlyn nodded.
"Kaitlyn needs and deserves that safety. I will trust you two boys to provide it, and to look after my baby girl."
Evan held Kaitlyn tight in his arms, and Terry gently rubbed her shoulders.
"Well, boys, I will leave Kaitlyn in your hands ... literally."
Mrs. Parsons smiled and left the living room.
"I'll let you two have a moment alone," said Terry. He kissed Kaitlyn
on the forehead. She smiled at him gratefully, before he left, too.
"Everything's going to be all right now, sweetheart," said Evan, continuing to cradle Kaitlyn.
And for perhaps the first time in her life, Kaitlyn really believed
that everything would be all right. She could not remember ever feeling
more pain or embarrassment than she did at that moment, but at the same
time, she could not remember ever feeling more safe or loved.
It had been the most humiliating day of Kaitlyn's life ... but it was a good day.
