“What are you smiling at?”
Connor turned to see Tom standing next to him.

me, he is going to arrange for Kasper, Jamie and Will to talk to you.”
“Okay then,” said Tom, shrugging his shoulders; “that’s fine with me.”
As they finished speaking so Nathan arrived, and the three of them
headed off towards the school reception and sick bay to leave their
clothes.
“Thank God this is the last time we’ll have to do this,” exclaimed
Nathan; “come Monday our punishment will have ended and we’ll be able
to go to school as normal students.”
As they made their way towards the school building Connor explained to

have taken the precaution of closing the school to everyone on Monday.”

all, thank you.” Mr Trimble then left the stage and that was the end of
the assembly.
As everyone filed out of the main hall and back to their registration

day off. Half-term was only another week away, but apparently the work

actually got all of the problems correct. It was a toss up to see who
was the more astonished, him or his maths teacher. The buzzer went for
the end of the lesson and it wasn’t long before he had re-joined Tom
and Nathan for their next subject which was geography. Mr Moss had

corridors in the direction of the science block and then out through

“Hi Connor, hi Tom, hi Nathan,” said Simon, smiling at them as they

turning to Nathan and Tom; “So whilst we do this would you two be okay

other sixth form boys engaged Tom and Nathan in conversation.

have any difficulties explaining to Tom and Nathan what was going to

question it at all.”
“That’s great,” responded Simon; “and as you can see our presence here
has ensured that you have been left alone by the girls for once,” he
said looking around the recreation area. There were still quite a

As they continued their conversation a small group of girls approached
them.
“Ah Connor, I’ve been searching for you everywhere,” said a voice.
Connor glanced up to see who had spoken and his face dropped; there

Simon turned and looked at Kirsten; “Can I help you?” he asked.

replied Simon; “so I suggest you come back another time.”
Kirsten looked quite taken aback and stood staring at Simon, not quite
sure what she should do next, and trying not to lose face with her

followed by general science.
“Today, Mr Crane announced; “for the first lesson we are going to look

“Reproduction is essential to all animals and humans to ensure the

Mr Crane said. “The gestation period, that is the time that the baby

“What about a monkey?” asked one of the pupils.
“It depends on the species,” Mr Crane replied; “but it is usually
between five and six months.”
Nathan, Tom and Connor were not really concentrating on what was

think we are going to see any action?” asked Tom; “Or is he just going
to witter away for the whole lesson?”
“Maynard, Adams, Robinson, please pay attention when I am talking and
you might learn something,” Mr Crane said loudly.

takes place. Please turn to pages 92 and 93 in your text books. There

Once again Nathan, Tom and Connor were all absorbed in their own little
discussion and not listening to what Mr Crane was saying.

Crane announced.
