“What are you smiling at?”

Connor turned to see Tom standing next to him.

As they finished speaking so Nathan arrived, and the three of them headed off towards the school reception and sick bay to leave their clothes.

It was a toss up to see who was the more astonished, him or his maths teacher. “Hi Connor, hi Tom, hi Nathan,” said Simon, smiling at them as they arrived. “How’s your day going so far?”

“It depends on the species,” Mr Crane replied; “but it is usually between five and six months.”

Once again Nathan, Tom and Connor were all absorbed in their own little discussion and not listening to what Mr Crane was saying.
