Germ, Chapter 2: How to Psyche Yourself Up for Nude Modeling

[Max Elwin’s POV]
1.
Jeremy,
one of the fifth-grade boys, has arranged to meet me before
school. I have not been his teacher. I know him best as the
model for the Special art hour that I run.
This school has
grades K through 5; kids up to about 11 years old. All
grades have “Specials”--extra activities once a week--but only grades 4
and 5 can choose the life painting option. Younger kids have
other options for art. In life painting, we get Jeremy as our
model.
It is not unusual for a boy in the school to ask to meet
me. Since there are only three male teachers (out of 19 total),
some boys come to ask me about “male” things. This is especially
true for boys living with single moms.
There is a small
windowless room off the school office where we can meet
privately. (Copier, printer, computer server, coffee-maker are in
there, and other remnants of the past.)
I take Jeremy into the
room, and we both sit down. We can hear (and see) in the office:
the principal talking on the phone, the secretary keyboarding
something, the crossing guards picking up their flags.
I began by asking Jeremy about his teacher: “Are you having trouble with Ms Quince?”
“Oh, no,” he replies. “I wanted to see you about the art modeling.”
Since
the modeling assignment is also being used as a punishment for Jeremy,
it is supposed to included nude modeling! This is the first time
this particular punishment is being carried out. Fifteen kids
from the fourth and fifth grades are painting Jeremy every week--but so
far he has not been nude.
“Are the other kids teasing you about
it?” I made sure there was no unpleasantness during the weekly
hour we were painting. But I wonder about the rest of the
time.
“No, it’s not that,” he answers. “The kids are still
just as nice to me as they were before I began modeling. In fact,
some of the girls from art smile at me sometimes.”
“That is good to know. I gave them some encouragement about respecting everyone, including you.”
“I know. When I am behind the screen changing my clothes, I can hear what you are saying to them.”
“So. That’s not the problem?”
“No.”
I wait. Jeremy looks uneasy.
“It’s about--you know--being naked.”
“Yes?”
“They--er--will all see--um--see--like--you know--my dick!”
“Fifteen of them, yes.”
Jeremy
pauses again. So I explain: “You postponed the nudity as long as
possible. The three remaining poses are nudes.”
“What if it happens again?”
“What if what happens?”
“Um--well--what if--what if I get--you know--” Jeremy stutters. He motions a finger rising up.
“An erection? You think that will happen?”
“Duh...You saw what happened this week. Of course it will.”
“Well, what can we do about it?” I asks. “I cannot cancel your punishment.”
“I know,” he says. “I just hoped you know some way I can get ready.”
“That’s
interesting.” This is a problem that I had never dealt with
before! Elementary teachers deal with a lot of stuff but (so far)
never this: How to psyche yourself up for nude modeling.
(I
have seen: How to psyche yourself up for public speaking. One
trick: Imagine everyone in the audience is naked. But I guess
that will not help if you are naked yourself.)
I take the art
folder out of my briefcase. I find the list of poses in the
brochure. “Let’s consider the three poses that are left.”
On the page are the names: Starkers, Anal, Hard. Beside the names there are little line-drawings that show the poses.
Jeremy (fearfully) and I (thoughtfully) look them over.
For Starkers the line drawing shows a naked boy standing facing us, with his elbows on a fence behind him.
For
Anal the line drawing shows a jockey riding a horse. We see him
from behind, hips raised up, head down near the horse's
neck. The jockey’s anus is in the center, his testicles and penis
hang down.
For Hard the line drawing shows a boy lying face up, his back arched, his erect penis pointing upward.
I wait for Jeremy to study the possibilities.
“How
about this,” I suggest. “Start with Hard, where you are
supposed to be erect. Then maybe you will get used to being
naked. For the following two weeks go on to the others, where it
will not matter whether you have an erection. And even if you do,
the kids will already have seen it, so it won’t be such a big deal.”
Jeremy's face is red by now. We continue looking at the diagrams.
Jeremy is holding his breath.
“What do you think?” I ask.
"Okay,” he says very quietly. “Let’s do it that way.”
I have another idea. “Do you know the term, visualization?”
“As in, what?”
“Thinking in advance about what will happen.”
“Yeah. Coach Miller told us to do it in baseball when we are going up to bat.”
“That’s right,” I say. “In the army, when we were going into combat, we would do visualization exercises to get ready.”
“You were in the army?” Jeremy seems excited.
“That was back before you were born.”
“Where did you fight?”
“Desert Storm. You can look it up. That was not a pleasant time in my life, so I don’t talk about it much.”
The
two of us talk about visualization. The idea being that Jeremy
would imagine in as much detail as possible the dreaded nude art
session. He would repeat every day. After that,
theoretically, the real thing would seem less scary.
2.
I stand up. “Okay, thanks for coming in today.” I walk to the door.
But Jeremy does not stand up.
“Um. Mr Elwin?”
I turn back.
“Something else?”
Jeremy nods.
“So, what is it you want?”
"Mmmm,” Jeremy replies. “Maybe if you--like--look and see if--uh--if I’m normal--you know--down there?”
“Why?”
He rushes through his answer: “I need to know what they’ll think when they see my dick.”
A strange request. But I am happy to agree.
“Okay.” I close the office door. I pull down the shade over the window. “Ready.”
“Um,” Jeremy still seems reluctant. “What do you want me to do?”
The
answer comes to my lips without thought. “Take everything
off.” Then I think of a rationalization. “That’s how the
kids will see you, so show me that. Then I can answer your
question.”
Jeremy undresses. Right there in front of
me. Clothes in a pile on a chair. The last thing left is
his boxers. He turns his back, takes them off, and adds them to
the pile.
He pauses. Takes a deep breath. And turns toward me. His face is flushed.
“Jeremy.
I’m impressed,” I say. “No fifth-grade boy could hope for private
parts that look better than yours.” Of course I say this to
encourage him. But it is also true.
“Really?” Jeremy
smiles for the first time today. “I was worried my dick is too
small. Or the end should be straight and not off-center. Or
my ball-sac is discoloured.”
“No, don't worry at all. It
is not uncommon for the scrotum to be darker coloured ... Perhaps
circumcised boys are the majority in the US, but intact boys are
becoming more and more common.”
I smile. “And I must say: your foreskin going to the side really catches my eye!”
Jeremy starts breathing again.
(I idly wonder whether a teacher will be barging in here to get coffee.)
3.
“Here
is something good,” I say. “We have been standing here
looking at your penis, and you did not get an erection.”
“That’s right!”
He thinks a bit.
“But what if I’m doing the pose Hard and it doesn’t happen?”
Now the original problem is reversed.
“I
have a plan for that,” I say. “Here, lie down on your
back. Just relax. I have this handy battery-powered
stimulator.”
I get it from my briefcase. I kneel down
beside Jeremy. When I turn it on, there is a loud buzzing.
I run the buzzer up and down Jeremy’s penis. It is erect in no
time.
Lovely, I think. It is thin, typical for an 11-year-old. But when erect it is long enough to be interesting!
“For
the Hard pose your back will be arched. We will have a prop under
your lower back so you can hold the pose for 55 minutes.” In the
room I find something appropriate to place under Jeremy’s back.
Then I check. Yes: I can arrange things so that his erection will

most attention!
“Okay,” I say. “It looks great, by the way. See?”
“How can I see?”
“Hmm. Good point.” I look around. “I don’t think we have a mirror in here.”

“You know, Jeremy. There is one negative with how you look.”
“Oh, no!”
“Relax.
It's just that you have low-hanging testicles. I prefer a tight
scrotum. Especially when you lie on your back like this.”
"Um. Okay.”
“Let’s
try this.” I start the buzzer again. I run it around
Jeremy’s scrotum. He squirms as I do it. It tightens, just
as I had hoped. (Plan B might have been to use ice.)
“There
we are. You have large testicles for your age. When we
tighten up your scrotum they stand out nicely. See?”
“I still can’t see it!”
I think about sneaking naked Jeremy into one of the school restrooms where there was a mirror. That won’t work.
“I know! Would you agree to let me take some pictures with my phone?”
"Yes, let’s do it!” he replies.
I
do the photos. Then Jeremy can see how he looks. He is
pleased. He seems less worried at the prospect of posing naked.
So... That is why I have the photos on my phone:
Jeremy.
Smiling.
Naked.
Erection.
Tight plump scrotum.
And that is what the lucky artists will be painting next week!

Germ, Chapter 3: Hard Day

1.
[Meredith’s POV]
When
I sit down in the lunchroom, I look around for Germ. There he is,
at his usual table. Some of us call it the “bad boys
table”. The rowdiest fifth-grade boys sit there. The ones
who tend to make trouble. They like only sports and video
games. Not school subjects.
Of course I always sit with my friends. Kids call it the “brainiac girls table”.
In
my opinion, Germ is a very cute boy! Not only that, he is one of
the sports stars in our school. Germ and I are in opposite social
groups, so we hardly ever talk.
He is the model for our Special
art sessions. Which means I have seen him every week this
term. This afternoon he will have to pose naked!
He has to
model for us as punishment for one of the pranks those boys carried
out. They always seem to have some scheme in the works. He
was caught when they tried to lock all the restrooms in the school, so
nobody could go.
If Germ had not had this punishment, he would
certainly have chosen sports for his “Special”. And I would still
only be admiring him from afar.
2.
[Meredith’s POV]
Germ
gets up from his table and walks toward the serving line to get
something. I surprise myself by getting up from my table and
meeting him on the way back. Even though we are in the middle of
the cafeteria, it is so noisy that it is sort of private.
“Hey, Germ!” I call.
“Hey, Meredith,” he answers.
“How are you feeling today?”
“Okay.” He smiles at me. His dimples and blue-green eyes were mesmerizing.
Meredith, (I warn myself) stop hyperventilating, or you will faint.
“Um,”
I go on. That shows how nervous I am: normally I avoid sticking
meaningless markers such as “um” and “like” into my speech. “I
mean, how are you feeling about art this afternoon?”
“Feeling?” he seems confused.
“You know, being naked and all.”
“Oh.” He frowns. “You know--I would really like to keep my clothes on.”
“I know what it’s like,” I say. What a stupid remark: of course I do not know what it’s like.
“But
there’s no way to avoid it,” he continues. “Mr Elwin gave me some
help. You know--feeling better about how I look. He told me
how to do some visualizations to prepare myself.”
“Mr Elwin was my teacher last year. He is very nice.”
“Good talking to you!” Germ says as we part.
“I will see you this afternoon,” I reply.
Then
I realize what I said. “I mean,” I sputter, “I will see you, as
in: we will both be in he same room. Not I will see you, as
in: I will see your naked body.” Dumb. I should have left
out the explanation.
Germ smiles again. We walk back to
our respective tables. I hear him say to the other boys,
“Meredith actually talked to me. She’s not stuck-up after all.”
3.
[Max Elwin’s POV]
Mr
Perkins and I set up for art. On the platform we put the padded
support for the model. It is high in the middle to support the
lower back; then sloping downward on the two sides; with a headrest at
one end.
I put the screen around it.
When Jeremy shows up, we have a few words.
“Are you ready?” I ask.
“Not really. But of course it will happen anyway.”
Then
he goes on. “I think the visualization helped a lot. The
first time visualizing this--me naked, everyone looking--I actually
threw up! But I kept doing it, every day, and it got better.”
4.
[Eve’s POV]
We
show up for art at usual the usual time. The tables and chairs
have been removed from the cafeteria to make room for the art
session. The platform is in the center of the room, surrounded by
a screen. Germ goes inside.
Germ went in! To get undressed! Totally! Stark naked!
Calm down, (I say to myself).
How
can I calm down? (I answer myself). All week I have been thinking
of seeing Germ naked! The star of the baseball team, naked for me
to see!
“Everyone here?” Mr Elwin counts us. He goes and locks the doors. He blocks all the windows with cardboard.
“Today Jeremy has chosen the pose called Hard.”
I am surprised at that: Germ has skipped to the most embarrassing pose!
“This
means,” Mr Elwin continues, “the model will have an erection--a boner,
a hard-on, a woodie, a tent-pole, a tumescent tool, ...”
We have all been nervous, but Mr Elwin’s crazy list breaks the ice, making us laugh.
“Remember!
I want all of you to be mature about this. We should do our best
to make Jeremy feel comfortable. We should not taunt him or laugh
at him. We should not whisper among ourselves. In the past
weeks I have been proud of how you acted. Keep it up, please.”
“Okay get your paints and set up your easels.”
“Which side will be which?” Tommy asks.
“Germ will be on his back. His head pointing that way.”
So we begin setting up. I choose a spot that should have a good view of his cock.
Mr Elwin speaks to the screen. “Jeremy, how’s it going?”
“Can you help me, please?” Germ answers from inside.
So Mr Elwin goes inside the screen. I listen carefully.
“Scoot
that way a bit,” Mr Elwin says. “I want your legs
straight. Your heels touching the platform. Your back on
the other slope, here. Your head tilted back, on the
cushion. Arms spread out like this. Maybe turn your head
and look that way.”
I am trying to imagine all this.
“Okay.
We want hard,” I hear Mr Elwin continue from inside the screen.
“So: Visualize. Imagine who is out there, and what they will be
looking at. Ah, yes--that’s it, plenty stiff. We will also
need tighter down here. Shall I help you you?”
There is a buzzing noise for a while. Then quiet.
“All set,” Mr Elwin says to Germ. “Ready?”
“Remember to breathe,” Mr Elwin adds.
You should remember to breathe, too, (I say to myself).
Mr Elwin takes the screen down.
